More Cry Babying

"The people's needs come before the markets'."

What this idiot doesn't know is that the people ARE THE MARKET.

Normally at this time I would go into a rant about people's ignorance about economics, but I've found that's throwing confetti into a tornado and it's just easier to go outside and look for superior agates.

Hey, I know a little someone who is probably going to be great at finding Superior Agates!

Only on account that "little" someone is going to cheat on account it is so close to the ground.

In this economy, I think I'd settle for just one inferior agate.

What this guy means by people, is people on the dole. The "market" is the private real economy, that produces all the money. Somehow living off other peoples money, is a political right. This is a big problem in modern welfare democracies, more voters live off tax money, then pay taxes.
Just ask any American sugar farmer, how great it is to receive funds from tax payers.
Meanwhile, more and more tax paying businesses, quietly leave high tax countries.

In other words, the needs of the one, or the few, outweigh the needs of the many. That's what they're really talking about. James T Kirk would get it.
