If This Doesn't Convince You...

then nothing will.

What he should be saying is lets cut business taxes, so that we CAN SHRINK THE SIZE OF GOVERNMENT.
What a nightmare!
Geithner has never worked in the private sector. He has no clue that the private sector, is the producing aspect of a country. And just how much larger does the US government have to become? I always thought the former USSR was a bad economic model.
This Giethner character and Bailout Ben, are a true real life version of Freddy Krueger`s nightmare on main street.
Can the last American working in the private sector, please turn out the lights.

All I can say about Geithner is that he validates Schumpeter's analysis of capitalism turning into a bureaucratic nightmare. i.e. he DEFINES the emergence of socialism out of the internalization of innovations within firms versus within markets. A sign of the apocalypse if you wish.

Naturally, his sophistry appeals to an already molded constituency, and is cacophony to those who have evolved beyond a 3rd-grade understanding of the world, or aren't intentional parasites. (See: unionized labor)

Geithner is insane. Not raising taxes to cover spending increases constitutes a "tax benefit"? Rarely does a politician so clearly state that he thinks your income is rightfully owned by the government, not you.

Apparently if they decide not to take your money from you, it's a handout. News to me.

I hope Geithner gets hit by a bus.
