The League of Ohio Valley Bloggers

Glorious Karl visited me a month or so ago and told me about his ragtag band of Ohio Valley bloggers.  I finally am getting around to introducing them for this weekends "Lazy Day Linkage."

Nice Deb is one of the better aggregator sites I've seen.  Looks like she updates it faster than Drudge does his.

Interesting.  I've been to that mine in my great Utah hike.

Karon Wright, enjoy the unemployment line.  I'll say it again, the majority of teachers are not the holy, innocent, pure people you assume them to be.

It only took 45 years to kill this idiotic government program.  Which is why I have no faith in the future.

And the Conservative Sociologists makes some keen observations about people who drink at her bar, their employment status and their varying levels of stupidity.

45 years to realize that price controls Argentina style suck! Pathetic.

I think in a couple of years, this country will look like a crazy police state for spending about $333 million just to put Boston under a lockdown. Not good in any way. Iraq War allegedly costed close to a trillion dollars and look what we got in return. Failed government programs both domestically and abroad. I wish more conservatives were going crazy about this, but there's this attitude like everything the military does is infallible and if you question their practices, you're unpatriotic, kind of what leftists do with terms like racist, sexist and bigot.

Cappy,

Poverty and bankruptcy makes you think. When NZ went bloody close to Bankruptcy (1984 -- you were probably in nappies) then we discovered TINA

TINA means There Is NO Alternative.

* To selling all state owned enterprises.
* To killing all agricultural subsidies. (This caused a lot of distress and farmer suicide. Still happened)
* To simplifying the tax regimen (Like a NO exceptions system. We have the most efficient tax system in the OECD because the govt was forced to do cost benefit analysis on all its regulations

It can happen. In fact, it was a leftist govt that did all this.

Because the alternative was defaulting.

You know that your govt is serious if TINA enters the room. At the moment, they are just playing around.
